Waves H-Reverb Hybrid Reverb How Available

h-reverbWaves Audio has announced that H-Reverb – a new reverb, based on algorithmic FIR (Finite Impulse Response) reverberation technology – is now available for Mac & Windows.

According to Waves, H-Reverb’s design provides ‘richer, deeper reverb tails that sit beautifully in the mix while breathing crisp air into your tracks’.

The FIR engine that powers H-Reverb lets you shape and customize the reverb decay envelope, beyond the standard linear forms, resulting in perfectly gated, real reverse, and dense reverb tails that don’t muddy up the mix.

Here’s the official video intro:

The second video is an in-depth demo and tutorial on H-Reverb:

  • Resonant filter sweeps for creating ‘innovative reverb effects’
  • EQ and dynamics module for compression, ducking and de-essing
  • ADA analog modeling and drive control
  • Artist presets from leading mixing engineers
  • Full buildup timing and shaping
  • Pre-delay BPM sync
  • Support for full 5.1 channel surround setups
  • Quick reference button
  • User-friendly GUI with collapsible version

H-Reverb is available for a limited time for US $199 (regularly $349). If you’ve used H-Reverb, leave a comment and share your thoughts on it!

  1. could be good for traditional type instruments and vocals, but i would hold my reservation for electronic/dance music the only way to tell is to test.

one thing for sure is waves talk a good plug in!

    1. Ofc it suit electronic music! Its very flexible and one of those reverb where you can change character with ease! Output echoes and distorion section suits really well with electronic on this reverb

  2. Why we need another reverb? the GUI looks a patchwork sofa… there are amazing reverbs done by specialists….for $99 ok I will buy it, but $199…I am not stupid! Wrong way Waves…your reputation in reverbs do not able you to charge an absurd expensive price…

  3. I must say its fantastic!
You can make alot of sound like fits everything with this unit!
It is so flexible! the sound is amazing and can reproduce a non metallic kind of reverb
also you can have metallic if you want! No bad artifacs and good of controlls but yet easy to use!
Most fun reverb ive used! Suit electronic, vocals, drums… just most things you put it on.

How well it is in a mix is like any other reverb you are the controller. But this reverb has easy to understand controll for those who have a bit experience with reverbs! The price is sure expensive. The sound quality of the algorythm is fantastic. Sure there is reverb for less but not this great 🙂 A good reverb often cost money: Otherwise there is budgets like toraverb and valhalla. But this reverb is sick!
