The plugin for Renoise is a moving light, multitrack and multitimbral step sequencer with 8, 16 or 32 steps, turning your Launchpad into a Hardware Step Sequencer. It was especially designed for playing live and to be capable of editing beats and patterns without the mouse.
Sonic Charge has introduced Permut8, a new VST / AudioUnit that lets you modulate, manipulate and mangle your audio in countless ways.

Permut8 is an effect plug-in that embraces the sounds of primitive signal processing hardware. At its core is a 12-bit digital delay with variable sample rate from 0 to 352 khz. The delay is controlled by a programmable processor that allows you to change and modulate the delay time with various “operators”. The input and output stages offers virtual analog components for saturation, limiting and filtering. The sound of Permut8 is raw and complex but noisy and warm at the same time.
Permut8 is available now, for Mac & Windows, for $66. A trial version is also available.
FabFilter has introduced a new distortion/saturation plugin for Mac & Windows, Saturn.
To be released on March 8, 2012, FabFilter Saturn is a multi-band distortion and saturation plug-in. According to FabFilter, it delivers ‘subtle, clean and warm tube or tape saturation to the wildest multi-band guitar amp effects’.
In this tutorial, Dan Worrall explains the basics of FabFilter Saturn. He starts with a simple single-band saturation example explaining the available algorithms and most important controls of the plug-in. Finally, he explains some more complex setups, using multiple bands and making use of the extensive modulation section.

At the site, you’ll be able to get downloads, tech support, sales, news, etc. for all the plugins of Alliance members. They also plan to offer multi-brand bundles for specific needs, for example Mastering Bundles, Mix Bundles, Heavy Metal Bundles, etc. with mixed plugins.
