Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Mutable Instruments’ Braids

Synthesist Omri Cohen has completed a methodical look into the synthesis models of the Mutable Instruments Braids module.

The Braids module offers dozens of different oscillator models, which means that it brings a massive variety of sonic options to modular systems. The module quickly became a hit in the Eurorack world, and has since been ported to 5U, Buchla, software and other formats.

Cohen’s series of videos takes an exhaustive look at the various oscillator options that Braids offers. Cohen dives into the options of each model and also tries to explore their capabilities within a synth patch.

Cohen demos Braids using the VCV Rack Macro Oscillator, a software port of the original. But the discussion and demos should translate to other ports of Braids, both software and hardware.
