Artists in DSP has released a public beta for Amorph 1.0, a free VST3 and AU plugin for macOS and Windows that turns a written description of an instrument, effect or MIDI tool into working DSP code, compiled and playable inside your DAW.

It includes more than 40 free patches, the instruments and effects built inside it, from the team and the community, each with its source open to read, edit and make your own.

New in this build: The AI assistant runs inside the plugin on the user’s own API key, with voice input; coding agents such as Claude Code and Cursor connect over MCP; any loaded patch can be played from a phone; and patches can be shared by link or by file, with optional source locking.

Building by copy and paste with any AI chat needs no key and no account.
