Smule has released a new app, MadPad, that’s a bit like turning your iPhone or iPad into a video MPC.

Instead of sampling sounds, the app lets you sample and play back videos, using an MPC-like grid.

MadPad is priced at $2.99 and is targeting mainstream audiences, with an emphasis on ease of use and social media sharing of the results.

But we’d like to see a pro version of something like this, with features like sequencing support, MIDI and video out of the active video.
