At Musikmesse 2014: Today Korg announced that it is now offering the Korg Kross keyboard in new colors. Additionally, Korg is offering Kross users of both the 61- and 88-key models a new, free bonus expansion of 512 programs for download.
For new colorway options, Korg is now offering the Kross 88-key keyboard model with an all-black body (right). The 61-key Korg Kross is now available in a red and black color scheme.
Korg Kross is the company’s “mobile, affordable” keyboard workstation with audio/MIDI recording capabilities, a choice of AC or battery operation (6xAA), and a selection of cutting-edge sounds. The new, all-black Kross-88 with 88 fully-weighted keys, and the existing 61-key model, are Korg’s first battery-powered, full-featured Korg keyboard workstations. Kross also includes practical features like analog-style step sequencing and a built-in audio recorder. The keyboard mimics the touch of an acoustic piano, with a heavier feel in the lower register and a lighter touch in the upper register.
Pricing and Availability. The all-black Korg Kross 88-key keyboard workstation will be available in May 2014 for a U.S. “street” price of $999.99. The 61-key model in a red and black color scheme (above right) is also available for $699.99. Additional product info and the bonus expansion pack programs are available on the Korg website.
