Tone2 Audiosoftware has released Rompler, a new rompler-style sound library for the ElectraX synthesizer instrument for Windows and Mac.
Here’s what they have to say about it:
Utilizing ElectraX’ powerful multi-layer capabilities with a rich blend of sampling and synthesis, Rompler features a selection of 200 breathtaking presets.
The perfect companion when writing your new track, Rompler has it all! from evolving atmospheres, evocative pads, expressive pianos and jazzy organs, up to complex arpeggios, pumping beats and raw basses. All sounds are carefully tweaked for maximum inspiration, usability and ready to be used in your productions.
Here’s an audio preview:
Rompler is available now for US $49.

ElectraX is one of the best sounding, warm analogy synths ever. Truly an amazing synth
Really? To me it sounds distant from my ear and somehow filtered in the high frequencies.
Any old sampler sounds better if you don’t mind some aliasing. 😉
I’ll purchase all the Tone2 stuff, great offer for tons of sounds and technology.
I think that they can transform ElectraX as Nexus 2 but the first one is a real synth.
Way too much reverb on all the presets.
A rather curious move by Tone2, considering that the architecture of ElektraX is not similar to the Nexus thus providing a Rompler seems to be a move in an attempt to yield more life out of the softsynth, where as merely creating new custom presets would not have commanded $49. Not sure you can demand that out of 200 presets either.
I like Tone2 and use Nemesis in particular, however as far as soft synths go Alchemy is by far one of the best softsynths for synthesis plus sample (Rompler) manipulation.
