Superbooth 2020 Cancelled Because Of Coronavirus Pandemic

Organizers of Superbooth 2020 have announced that the event – originally scheduled to be held April 23-25 in Berlin, Germany – has been cancelled because of the Coronavirus Pandemic.

The cancellation was announced via a message on the event site:

Due to the current health situation and the worldwide development of the Coronavirus
there will be no SuperBooth event in 2020.

All ticketholder can give their already purchased tickets back for a full refund.

The pandemic has already resulted in the cancellation or postponement of multiple music industry events, including SxSW, Musikmesse 2020, Ableton LoopSynthplex 2020.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a respiratory illness that can be easily spread from person to person. The virus that causes COVID-19 is a novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, that was first identified in Wuhan, China. There is currently no cure or vaccine, so experts are recommending ‘social distancing’ – minimizing contact between people – to slow its spread.

On January 30, 2020, the World Health Organization declared the outbreak a “public health emergency of international concern”. Earlier this week, they declared it a pandemic – an epidemic that has spread globally.

    1. Although it’s unlikely that you in particular will die from it, it’s very likely that enough people will get sick this spring to cause the healthcare systems to collapse. That’s the main problem. It’s surprising how many people don’t understand this.

  1. Let’s be positive about it. All those cancelled shows give us all a bit of relief on our G.A.S pressure valves. Now we get to sit down and actually spend time playing with the 26 machines we all bought last year. ;P

    1. U said it. The situation sucks but having to work from home means I get back the two hours I spend commuting every day. No more excuses 🙂
