Ableton has announced the full program for Loop Create, a free series of events for music makers, scheduled for June 26–27, 2021.
Hosted by producer and film maker Sky Deep (above left) and DJ and multi-instrumentalist Christa Belle (above right), the event will feature sessions throughout the day, themed around ‘Site and Sound’.
Featured events include:
- Liz Teutsch will lead a workshop on exploring our surroundings with everyday devices.
- A.Fruit will take on a live challenge of creating sound effects on the spot.
- Dan Keen and Leo Wyatt from LABS by Spitfire Audio will discuss turning field recordings into playable software instruments.
- Sound artist and composer KMRU will give his personal take on how his environment has shaped his sound, and answer your questions in a live Q&A.
- Perera Elsewhere will perform, with visuals from Hugo Holger Schneider.
Between sessions, you can join the Loop Cafe, a virtual hangout space where you can connect with other attendees.
Loop Create is free to attend. Register at the event site through June 20.
