As part of this weekend’s Alan R. Pearlman Foundation synthposium, 2022: A Fifty-Year ARP Odyssey, the Foundation released this video by Alex Ball.
The video – a kick-off for the November 5th event – is part ARP Odyssey history, part tech-talk and lots of audio demonstrations of the classic synth design.

I got a Behringer Odyssey last Black Friday for $399 from Sweetwater. It’s a great synth.
For the great work you did here you should have got one free from behringer gibson and oreo
It really is. It’s built like a tank and sounds incredible.
My Odyssey date code is 7244 (written under the filter, visible only when I removed it), so build 44th week of 1972, which is prettry much exaclty 50 years ago!
Odyssey is a great synth architecture, no matter who manufactured it. I’ve had an og arp, a reissued korg, and a behringer. they all sound/ed very nice!
