  1. This was the most requested feature on the Arturia members site, and i’m so pleased that they implemented it, well done Arturia. This synth is my go-to sound explorer and it just keeps getting better.

That said, when can we import custom samples?

    1. In the next firmware update, Arturia has promised to enable the loading of user custom samples.

It is expected to arrive next spring.

  2. The new granular engines are so awesome. It literally makes the Mini a completely new synth. Also FREE FIDDY! Arturia is the absolute king in the synth market today. From their incredible line of VST soft-synths/efx to their hardware imo NObody can compete with their innovation, quality and uniqueness.

    1. Indeed it is an absolute treat to find that every year your gear instead of being discontinuated or out of support, it gets new features and resell value (in case you need the money).

It’s the complete opposite that other “famous” synth brands are doing. By releasing new models with tiny improvements each year, it makes you gear obsolete as well as making impossible to sell older (not mk2 or mk3, etc) units. They release products that are obsolete on arrival, and even more obsolete a little bit after.

Remember the days when synths were released (fully functional, tried and tested, with lots of features) and their life cycle was at least 3 to 5 years?

    1. It’s called Minifreak.
      Mini.
As in it’s got mini keys, and is quite small (but not as small as the MicroFreak, which is smaller with freaky keys).
Your always banging on about your Behringer modules, so why not try this with the controller / keybed of your choice? Who knows, you might find something that would give your Prologue a nice little play friend.

    2. I agree with you. I would really like to see this synth with a proper keybed and 61 keys.

But to be fair, it has one of the best minikeys feel that I have played so far.

      If only had decent FXs…

    3. yes i agree. That keybed is only for noobs or hypsters. I could understand it, if it had speakers as well. Then i’d buy one for my children, but for my use, in a studio this is a joke .

  3. ??? The minifreak is $849? I dont remember pay that when it was released. I think it was like $599, right?
Oh ok, I checked, its listed as $649 so the price is wrong on this site. From $599 -> $649, I understand why but got dam.

  4. Fantastic synth… now even better than before!! I think I’ll be using my MiniFreak and MicroFreak much more now that they both support granular sampling!! Happy Holidays and thanks for the gift that keeps on giving!!
