Full Bucket Music has introduced Paralogy, a free software synth for Mac & Windows that’s inspired by the Crumar Trilogy and Stratus synths of the ’80s.

  1. What a vintage beauty, especially if you love the realm of 70s/80s stringers. You get the best of the Trilogy and Stratus in a blend, too. I prefer the more subtle sounds. They strike me as great for adding pad-beef to other things. Full Bucket is a bright spot for synth players.

  2. I discovered this VST thanks to a Reddit post and checked it out as well as several of the other devices (also provided free of charge) and this is some seriously amazing stuff. I’ve been experimenting with both Paralogy, Ragnarok and Modulair and the overal quality these devices provide is something I’d wouldn’t expect to get from a freebie.

    Also cool to know: this is really free, so the site doesn’t try to trick you into some crappy transaction by demanding an e-mail address or registration. Instead.. just visit the site and you can nab several awesome soft synths.

    I can highly recommend them.
