Synthesist Nan Tang let us know that The Modular Commune is returning this fall, with an international festival taking place in 798 Art District, Beijing on November 13-16, 2025.
The Modular Commune is Asia’s largest trade show and performance event for modular synths and other electronic music instruments. It is a non-profit event, made possible by volunteers from across and beyond the industry.
The festival will be a held in a 3600m² space packed with programs, including dedicated areas for Expo, Modular Live, Ambient Live, Dolby Atmos, Master Classes, DIY workshops, seminars, a Kids Discovery Zone, Novice Village, Afterparties, Artists’ Market, and more.
Organizers report that the 2024 event had 20,000 visitors, 100 live performances, 50 exhibitors, 38 workshops, 9 hours of DIY workshops, 5 afterparties, and a total of 1 module burned.
