Korg has introduced Collection 6, a major update to its software synth suite for Mac & Windows, featuring new virtual takes on the Trinity, PS-3300 & SGX-2.
Korg Collection is a suite of software synthesizers, featuring virtual takes on a variety of the company’s classic gear, including the MS-20, Polysix and Mono/Poly, ARP ODYSSEY and ARP 2600.
Here’s what’s new in Korg Collection 6:
- TRINITY – Released in 1995, this synthesizer defined KORG in the 1990s. Its silver body, TouchView GUI (the first synth with touchscreen operation), and large-scale PCM sound set new standards for synthesizers of its time.
- PS-3300 – Produced for only about five years, from 1977 to 1981, with less than 50 units ever made, this fully polyphonic analog synthesizer remains one of the rarest and most revered instruments in music history. Its massive sound engine, comparable to 144 MS-20s, has been modeled and enhanced with expanded functionality.
- SGX-2 – The premium piano sound engine from KRONOS and NAUTILUS. It captures the tones of some of the world’s finest concert grand pianos, recorded in full-stereo, loopless samples for every single key.

Well, it’s not what I was hoping for – Korg Radias and DS-8 is sadly missing and existing plugins were not updated either 🙁
Wan’t be upgrading this time round, perhaps ver.7… 😉

I have currently everything that Korg released so far, but these 3 instruments are not what I was looking or hopping for… 🙁

Will the Trinity have the MOSS features as well?
I bought it as an upgrade, and am encountering serious installation problems: Although the PS-3300 installed successfully, Windows 11 is flagging TRINITY and SGX-2 as containing malware and refusing to install them.
I sent email to KORG support yesterday; I’ll report back when I get a response.
I’m curious to hear what happens before I attempt the upgrade!
I have not heard back from them yet. However, just for fun, I tried installing again, and this time it worked. So either KORG slipstreamed a change or they informed Microsoft that the files are legit, so that Windows Defender no longer flagged them.
Sorry for the hassle! It was the latter – they were getting erroneously flagged by the “machine learning” feature of Windows Defender.
Yes, Defender take a knife with Trinity demo version also, but I updated the last windows servises and after well done! ?
For my taste it’s very good update for the price. Much better than V6. Only Trinity fully extended worth $99. PS-3000 – cool monster. SGX-2 – very nice sounding, compact, piano from Kronos (expanded by 3 pianos by default).
