Behringer has officially introduced the UB-1 Micro, a compact synthesizer based on a classic Oberheim synth voice.
The UB-1 Micro is a portable mini-synth that offers dual DCO oscillators, a 24 dB/oct low-pass filter and a built-in arpeggiator.

as someone in the US I don’t see this as being worth it when the UB-XA mini is just a few bucks more
I was lucky enough to get a Matrix-1000 for cheap – it’s a terrific synth (especially with some programming software) though I wish it had stereo audio output.
Get a Boss CE-300 chorus and run your Matrix 1000 through it. Lush stereo for days.. Your other option for a stereo M1000 is to pick up another one and get the stereoping polychainer. Bootleg Matrix 12.
I’m impressed by the sound, but also the tiny display at this price point.
Format is ridiculous, irrespective of sound. All will end up in the landfill before long. Probably sell very well. Says a lot about the market…
Be real my guy…they will end up being sold used at a price that you might as well buy a new one instead….if they break people could sell them for a 5 or 10 online easy plus shipping

A big part of the value of vintage synths is their rarity. Behringer synths will never be valuable, because they are mass-produced and because Behringer cuts a lot of corners to make them cheap.
There are quite a few Behringer clone effect pedals that Behringer have discontinued, and then the prices on the used market skyrocketed.
The same will happen to the Behringer synths, at least for the ones they don’t make as many of…for the hottest sellers that have had dozens of thousands made, those won’t rise in value…but most will after discontinuation, especially ones that other clones of don’t exist on the market. The exception being Behringer clones of CURRENT synths, like some of the Moog clones.
.I meant sell well for Uli, but your point remains. None of these devices will be selling for the ridiculous prices that Junos etc are going for now. Just because some clown has a Behringer pedal for sale for 1300 on Reverb it doesn’t mean it sells. Money laundering at best
I’m looking sideways at it, but it has a creditable sound. Its a gateway drug synth for newbies. The starting point today is way better than it was 40 years ago. I’ll bet you a pint of Guiness that there are more than a few workstation or modular players who have a couple of these plugged in somewhere.
I was just a guitar player all my life but picked up a monotron for a price like this one day at the shop. The hype around the initial volca keys was warranted too despite all the debate. small affordable devices with a good sound help grow the industry for sure.
