At the 2026 NAMM Show, Behringer is previewing the JT-2, a new Euro-format rack monosynth, based on the voice and look of the Roland Jupiter-8.
The Behringer JT-2 is a desktop synth design in Euro format, meaning that it can be used as a desktop synth or removed from its case and mounted in a larger Eurorack system. But it’s not designed to be patchable, like the Behringer Neutron or Moog’s Eurorack synth line.
It can be controlled via CV/Gate or MIDI.
The Behringer JT-2 does not have patch memory, so it’s a what-you-see-is-what-you-get synth, in terms of patch settings.
Pricing and Availability:
Behringer has previously said that they plan to price this at $299, but details on final pricing, specifications and availability are to be announced.

JP-8080 is fully digital and Behringer mostly does analog. Also, JP-8080 was fully emulated recently.
“A mono synth inspired by the Jupiter 8” – this is a phrase that makes no sense.
I dont understand this, why would they make it mono and without preset memory?
I have a feeling this is a test by Behringer to get feedback and improve the sound for the real Jupiter 8 clone when it comes out….well, one can hope at least that is what they are doing.

I’d be interested in this except after purchasing the Cherry Audio Mercury 8 which looks nice, sounds fantastic. It has 2 layers up to 16 voices a layer with great FX and It is also only $69.00. I guess I am not interesest in this at this point. To me the Mercury 8 is a pinnacle in the Jupiter 8 emulations.
I owned a Jupiter 8 for a long time and I never used it in mono mode. It just sounded quite thin. I only ever used it as a poly or in unison. But the JP8 came to life in dual mode, with two poly sounds layered. So whilst I think this will be good, I don’t think a mono JP8 will showcase the synths true capabilities. It may actually put people off buying the poly as they may be quite disappointed, expecting the most epic sound ever. By comparison, the Juno 60 is a much bigger sounding synth note for note, but it doesn’t have the texture, nuance or broad sound spectrum of the JP8.
