This is a fundamental problem of modern electronic music – how to NOT look like you’re checking your email.
What do people want to see when they see a live electronic music performance?
I feel like gear heads want to circle jerk to musicians with a bunch of gear, and electronic music fans want to see the DJ throw their hands in the air.
They want to either see scantily clad young women dancing to prerecorded techno set from a usb player. Or fully clothed middle aged women rocking a techno set on a mountain of modular hardware. Either one of those.
It’s just when I think “synth” Or “Synthtopia” I don’t think “Ipad.” My bad.

I know it really isn’t in the synth realm but I think you should cover that now Thomann is sueing Fender over the insanity that Fender has been up to lately.
What is this Fender ‘insanity’? The new Rhodes pianos look pretty nice.
google “fender stratocaster lawsuit” – they’re suing EVERY maker of any kind of strat clone, using a very narrow and particular German intellectual property law to leverage claims of infringement because the strat design has been legally declared “a singular unique artistic expression” or some such. guitarists are hating on fender now, tons of videos decrying the decision, talks of a boycott, etc.

I mean it is their design. Almost impossible to reverse all of this now with a single lawsuit
The design is so old it has been public domain in the United States for over 15 years, them pursuing this legal action in Europe is very trashy.
