Korg today introduced the new Kronos – the most powerful version of their flagship keyboard music workstation to date; “The new Kronos features the unrivaled 9-engine structure from previous versions, with numerous improvements to both sound capability and overall functionality,” said Korg Brand Manager James Sajeva. “Truly, this is the most powerful synthesizer on the planet.”
Sound developer K-Sounds has released Epic Grand for the Korg Kronos and Kronos X, featuring detailed stereo samples of a Japanese grand piano. Epic Grand offers eight sampled dynamic layers plus damper resonance, release resonance, hammer noise samples, and multi-dynamic damper noise samples. All samples are unlooped, lasting up to twenty seconds.
Korg has released KRONOS software version 2.1, which adds several new features, including an improved CX-3 engine.
