  1. This sounds great, as it did back in the day when it came out. It’s still a very capable engine – it offers more than what you’d usually find in most vintage analog synths so it’s no surprise that it can nail these contemporary sounds in such a convincing way. Great work, RZ Presets!

    1. Agree with you that it’s a capable engine. I believe it’s basically a MS-2000 with less hands on control of the parameters, and I LOVE my MS-2000 (in fact I’ve own 3 over the years!).
However, it isn’t a “vintage analog synth”. It’s a a digital synth using DSP analog modelling.
I know I’m putting the anal in analog with this, but I believe it’s worth pointing out and correcting.
I don’t subscribe to the idea that either analog or digital are superior or lesser to each other, in some cases they’re indistinguishable, and both sound great.
      Have fun making sounds 🙂

      1. Great point, Dongleboob – it’s good to point out that while the MicroKorg is probably vintage by today’s standards, it’s definitely not an analog synth. Younger players might be confused or mislead – we’ve all seen kijiji ads labelling VAs as real analog and of course they are not. I’m a huge fan of the DWGS waves of this and the MS2000.
