Organizers of Knobcon, aka “The World’s Only Synthesizer Convention”, have announced that registration is now open for Knobcon Number Eleven, which will be held September 8-10, 2023 at the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg, Chicago.
Tickets are available now, and are $45 through May 31, vs $60 at the event. Sponsor and Exhibitor Registration is also open.
Knobcon starts on Friday evening, September 8th, with the welcome reception featuring live music, video art, and a cash bar.
Saturday, September 9th is packed with exhibits and workshops, followed by a banquet featuring a guest of honor. Previous guests have included synth pioneer Tom Oberheim; Bill Hemsath, creator of the Minimoog; and Malcolm Cecil, jazz musician, synthesist and co-producer of Stevie Wonder’s classic ’70s albums. Multiple live music and immersive video spaces round out the evening.
Sunday, September 10 brings another full day of exhibits and workshops.
Attendees can stay at the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg for $114 per night. You can check-in as early as Tuesday, September 5 and enjoy the same room rate through Wednesday, September 13. Organizers note that, last year, the Hyatt did sell out.
Hahaha, Knob!
