Sound Magic has introduced Violin One, a free physical modeling violin virtual instrument plugin for Windows. A Mac version is also in the works.

What would be a consideration of NOT compiling this plugin for other platforms?
I downloaded their zip, and there are macOS folders with binaries in them. They are vst3 from what I see, not AU. Not sure if they work, but they are there. Those are exported by default from the SynthEdit product.
They used SynthEdit to create the plugin. The MIDI 2 stuff in the copy is really about what SynthEdit does **internally**. Good for future-proofing.
Will check this out once the Mac version is available.
