Reader Conor Barry sent word of the BeatBack – a new electronic instrument that may look like a paper lantern from Pier 1, but is actually a bio-sensing musical instrument.
The BeatBack is a device that can accompany any musical instrument by taking heart rate and galvanic skin response data, and translating them into varying sonic textures, which the performer can alter through changing their emotional and/or physical state.
