The Music Accessibility Standard Special Interest Group (MASSIG), a project of The MIDI Association, will be leading a live Youtube webinar on May 27.
A Special Interest Group (SIG) is a vehicle for a group of individuals who are not MIDI Association corporate members, but do represent a specific interest, to come together to make recommendations on behalf of the community they represent. For example, the Interactive Audio Special Interest Group representing MIDI in the Game Audio community was created in the mid 1990s and has been active ever since.
MASSIG is a new group and has had several meetings. Juho Tomanien, Jason Dasent, and Scott Chesworth have all attended, and the group has also had participation from a number of MIDI Association companies, including Arturia, Audio Modeling, Focusrite, Native Instruments, Steinberg, Roland, Yamaha and many others.
There is a form available at the Association site that you can use to express your interest in MIDI Association initiatives, with the Music Accessibility Standard Special Interest Group at the top.
You can view the seminar on Youtube., where you can also sign up to be notified when the meeting starts.
