Algoriddim Intros djay Pro For Mac – ‘A Complete Toolkit For DJs’

Algoriddim has introduced djay Pro, calling it ‘the first professional version of djay for the desktop’.

djay Pro offers advanced features, like four decks, hardware support, Spotify integration, sampling, key matching, effects, waveform display and more.

djay Pro integrates seamlessly with existing professional DJ hardware. In addition to supporting over 50 MIDI controllers by Pioneer, Numark, Reloop, and other manufacturers out of the box, djay Pro also includes an advanced MIDI Learn system. It enables users to map each hardware control on their device to individual actions in djay Pro and customize their setup to match their style and performance needs.

Cue Points, beat grid edits, meta data and FX purchases from iOS versions of djay will automatically sync over iCloud to djay Pro, bridging the experience between mobile and desktop.

Scratch Disc Offers 12 Turntables & A Microphone

scratch-discKristin Graffagnino has released Scratch Disc – a new performance oriented app that lets you ‘scratch’ sounds, using 12 virtual turntables.

Scratch Disc features 12 turntables spread out on the iOS screen, each with their own sound fragment that can be scratched in a “random access” manner. The benefit is that the performer gets a wider sound palette and can make performances that would be difficult or impossible with a standard DJ setup.

Developer Kristin Graffagnino (aka DJ BlondieK), says “When designing this app, the intent was not to realistically emulate a real turntable on a touch screen.”

“Any attempt at that would fail because analog equipment like turntables will always be more responsive than their computer recreations. Scratch Disc instead provides a new way to perform the sounds of scratching a record.” Continue reading
