Propellerhead today announced Neptune Pitch Adjuster for Record, as part of its series of teaser videos for Record 1.5 and Reason 5.
Neptune is an advanced pitch adjuster, audio transposer and voice synth for Record 1.5.
Propellerhead says:
Getting a vocal performance right means so much more than hitting the right notes at the right time. Sometimes you get that almost perfect performance with perfect feel and presence, but the singer might have missed a few notes. That’s when Neptune can save the day.
Sound a lot like AutoTune was a popular feature request. Read what Synthtopia readers want most from Reason 5 and Record 1.5.
Not just Auto tune, but an harmonizer too
great… an auto tune clone. just what the world needs
People need to get past the popular recent autotune bashing. It is a useful tool, the fact that it became an overused cliched effect in certain types of me-too pop music doesn't lessen the potential usefulness of the tool in other hands. There are countless creative ways to use this type of processing and it looks as if Propellerhead have done a cool new take on it.
purple ribbons in my hair?
Been reading your excellent blog for quite a few weeks now, and i am enjoying many of your excellent topics.
I have to say, when Record first came out I wasn't all too impressed, but these videos are making the new version a lot more appealing. I think that if Propellerhead isn't going to let you use plugins, they should at least include their own versions of some of the most popular ones. And if they're going to remake a plugin, they might as well make it better, which it looks like they did. Thank you, Prophead.
But then they go and demo it by doing some T-Pain
Record and Reason do NOT use VST plugins. They have to be native. Neptune was a great idea. I have the R+R duo and I never looked back. ๐
You Can Create your own vst plugins inside the combinator
